It was anyway a Christian renaming of the Solstice Feast. If you read the Gospel carefully, you'll realise that Jesus is born in March (no lambs in winter).
I agree with you. I simply wearied of it. By 20 years of age. The Christianity was mixed in with the material Christmas. So hard to avoid. Nearly every family follows it even if they are disinterested in the religious aspect. I have spent 15-20 Xmases alone with Chinese takeaways or travelling somewhere warm.

Exactly. My personal point of view is: if the majority wants Christmas as an inclusive non religious festivity, change its name please.
Happy holidays is better. I do not join Christmas celebrations. I live in Vietnam and it is quite easy to avoid the Christian philosophy.
Lucky you! In the West, I do not like the assumption everybody “must” celebrate a religious holiday, even if he/she is not.

Next Christ's birthday I will be somewhere else for sure. Good Tips:)
I disagree. Happy Christmas!
Tell me more please!
May I exchange your 'Happy Christmas' with a more politically correct 'Happy Holidays' or 'Solstice'?
